My grandfather left me a Ithaca Model 37t 12g. It has a full choke barrell 30 in. Does anyone know the value of this gun. Please let me know

My grandfather left me an Ithaca 37 also. I did a little research and found out it was worth roughly $300-500. Mine was made in 1950. E mail the serial number to ithaca and ask them when yours was made. If its older than mine it could be worth a little more. I did see one on gunbroker that was around $2000. Usualy these arent worth a lot though. More in sentimental value.

Ithaca's are great shooters and once you use one you will see why. It's a well made shotgun assembled mostly by hand. They range in price from $200 on up depending on condition, quality, and rarity. I wouldn't sell it if I were you. It will still be working for your great grand kids and beyond, if you choose to pass it on.

The Model 37 is an adaption of a John Browning design, which was originally manufactured by Remington as the Model 12. After the Browning patent expired, Ithaca began production with a few modifications to the original design. It has been a favorite since then. Here are some info url's:

I wasnt going to sell the gun. I am adding it on my home owners insurance. I emailed Ithaca so hopefully they can give me some info on it. I just got out and shot it the other day. Great shooting gun. I have one other model 37 and I am loving those guns.
