I bought this lever break action single shot .410. Is it okay to dry fire it? Thompson/Center told me not to dry fire my Endeavor which has a similar action - that's why I ask. Also, does anyone know anything interesting about this shotgun? I haven't fired it yet, but I sure like the way it feels. Thanks in advance.

Make your own snap cap if you cant find one. Pop out an spent primer and fit a hard pencil eraser or other hard "spungy" media into the primer pocket. The media will wear out, but it'll give you time to get a feel of the trigger.

Even with guns that folks say its ok to dry fire, it doesn't hurt to use a snap cap of some sort. ...they are cheaper than broken firing pins and/or hammers and easy to make.
