Ithaca 37r Serial 307***. A Couple Questions

1. Is This Gun From The 50's Or 60's. I Cant Seem To Find Much Info On The Serial Number/dating Topic. 307***.
2. I Want To Remove And Preserve The Nice Original Stock. So I Plan On Removing It And Installing A Synthetic. Any Idea Where To Find One?

I would suggest that it is from around the late 40's to 50's myself just from it having a 5 digit serial number, but I don't really have an idea on.

Good luck finding a synthetic stock for it. You may get lucky and find it without any problems. Here while back there was a guy that was trying to make them and I am not sure what he came up with. Since these guns are going to be going back into production, it shouldn't be long before their is one out for them on the market. May just take a year or so to come out though.
