Ithaca 20 ga. SuperSingle

Just bought a used Ithaca SuperSingle in 20 ga., was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them. Mine is a smooth bore but because of the rifle sights they marked it as slug gun. I do plan on hunting small game with it, but does any one know a particular slug that these guns prefer? Majority of my state land shots will be under 60 yards.

While I never had one of those underlever Ithaca's, I would suspect (like most smoothbores) that a variety of Foster-type (non-sabot) slugs would needs be tested, to see what it likes best.

Got the same in 12ga. Mine shoots Rem. Sluggers the best.

And, fwiw,your shotgun was marked as a slug gun and has rifled sights because having a 'cyl.bore' bbl. that is what it was designed to shoot.
