It This Okay?

I'm thinking of trading for a new Beretta Tomcat.

I would like to carry it in a holster in my LEFT pocket...but it has a right handed only "safety."

I was wondering if it would be okay to carry the Tomcart in a pocket holster WITHOUT the safety engaged...much like what you would do with a P-32 which does not have a safety in the first place?

In other words, factoring in the design and factory trigger pull of the Tomcat...would this be okay?

Thanks for your opinions.

I carry my Taurus PT-22, which has essentially the same operating system except that it is DAO, with a round in the chamber and safety off all the time.

In fact, it's in my pocket in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster right now.

Doesn't sound like a problem to me. Personally, I would at least be sure the muzzle isn't pointing to the center. ;)

I wear my PT22 with safety engaged, as I've found it adds no time to the 'draw and fire'.

It also might save me from an unintended discharge.

Might consider your desired carry method if I used a holster.
