of people to make up this world of ours. This individual posted today to the Gun & Knife Enfield Collectors forum, spouting off about how he made a bunch of money by purchasing Lee-Enfield rifles at a local gun shop and selling them directly to the Hartford, CT police gun buyback program for the pure profit of it all. Makes my skin crawl! Can anybody confirm such a buyback is in effect this week, and whether the local shop listed below actually sold a bunch of vintage, historical battle rifles to one person? Here's the dirtbag's posting:

In Response To: re: the money faker made $500.00 (Enfields revenge)

I will give you all the info you want because what i did was completely with in the limits of the program (i called before hand so i was sure this would work) They (Hartford police) told me that because its not theirmoney they dont set the limits. They said there was noting to prevent me from doing what i did cause the program is "no questions asked" and has no limits. The Police station is Hartford,CT (branard Road). I wont give you my email adress but feel free to call the police or "the Merdien trading [post" 203-237-5199.they have a large supply of Enfields. In fact this worked so well i might do it again this weekend while there is still money in the buyback program! Gotta get those Guns off the street and outta dangers way! I could care less if i am on some ATF list since I can account for the wepons i have bought~straight into the cooker! (and hey all your LE rifles might be worth 25 cents more now that there are less of them)

Truly sad to loose something historic. I doubt the police sent them to the melting pot though.

On the other hand, however idiotic it seems, this guy was making money doing something we also fight for.

Capitalism and a free market, its called.
