It looks like OR is trying to loosen it CCW laws a bit

It looks like Oregon is attempting to extend it's CCW laws to cover non-residents who hold permits in their home states. It would be about time. If you currently live in WA and go into OR you have to get a permit in both states.

if only I didn't have to make an appointment and make a 30 minute drive and provide proof of firearms training to get my OR permit in the first place

That would be great if that passes.

I live in WA and my GF's family live in OR. Being able to carry in OR with my WA CPL is much better than unloading and casing my pistol before the border.

I guess I could just get my OR permit, but I heard that it's a little difficult in some counties of Oregon for a Washington resident to get.

PS... If it does pass, maybe Washington will accept Oregon permits as well, since there isn't any reciprocity currently.
