It followed me home....can I keep it?

I went to the gun store last night 'to look'. Well when I got there, the Ruger Mark II Slabside that I have been eyeballing saw me come in. It gave me the puppy eyes, whimpered a little, and even sat up and gave me a paw. Felt quite nice in my hands btw. I really like that target grip. After petting it for a few minutes, I couldn't bear to let it go. So now it is mine, and now I just need to pick up some food for it. I just hope that my girlfriend doesn't mind it sleeping on the foot of the bed.

Oh...and I stripped it just so I could see if I could get it back together. No problem at all...got it together on the first try. I'm knocking on wood though, because it'll probably bite me in the a$$ next time.

Take care,
Kel

KelBench400,
Yes you can keep it! You got it back together in the first try? It took my 1/2 hour to get mine back together the first time and when I did it almost took my finger off in the process. (put this in here.. hold it upside down..hold back the trigger...align this...puch that...OUCH! Damn thing bit me!) Now I can do it without donating blood.

Your going to love it. I just put a Bushnell Red Dot on mine and I love it. Have fun with it...and the girlfriend will understand when/if she gets to shoot it...

I personally never had a problem slapping a MKII back together, but I have many friends who have. Of course they now make a kit that replaced part of the gizmo to allow for easier stripping.

BTW, I sense someone here has watched The Shining a few too many times. :p I like to wear my telepathic hat now and then just to keep it limber.

Sheeeesh...
No matter how much Hoppes #9 & Tetra Oil I wear, I just can't get a gun to follow me home.................

Seriously, though, KelBench, you should have a bunch of fun shooting that new Slabside. Give us a range report, soon
