It finally happened

I have shot several thousand rounds of cast lead bullets through my Ruger Blackhawk .45 Colt and have never had a problem with leading. I've shot 200 grains though 350 grains in several different brands and no leading, until now. The culprit was Speer cold formed 250 grain "bargain" bullets with what they call multi layer lube. I decided to clean it tonight and was shocked at the inside of the barrel. It took Chore Bore wrapped around a .45 caliber brush and a lot of elbow grease to get it out. I have actually used these bullets before with no problems. I wonder if I may have loaded these rounds a little too hot. I used Universal but don't recall the grains. May have to slow down with these next time.
