I am not sure this is where to post this but here it is, I have a bolt action rifle mauser style full wood and all, I disassembled it completely and there is no information at all just the s/n twice which is ot-45620 ! I was hopeing to reveal some info once removed wood but found nothing but s/n again! anyone have a clue what I have? oh its a 308! ty

Is there a way to post a pic of the receiver and bolt? Or, can you google-foo up some photos of Swedish Mausers and see if there's any resemblance?

This question came up some time 3 or 4 years ago, and I think the concensus came up with it being a Spanish M-1916.

Based on the OT-XXX serial number and the caliber-.308(actually 7.62x51), I'm speculating this is a "1916" Mauser. A 93/95 Mauser converted to shoot 7.62x51 as an expedient for non-front line use. I've handled maybe a dozen of these through the shop before I shut down and dismantled all but one to prevent misuse.
I really don't recommend shooting commercial .308 through these although many owners do. The original chambering was 7x57 which operates at 45000CUP while commercial .308 may run as high as 52000-55000CUP I still have one of this model which I shoot using handloads in the 45000 CUP range.

some new info

I have the rifle completely stripped down and all I found on barrel under where wood would be is another s/n# on the trigger assembly it has number 620? has a few stamps which I cant find in my gunmarks book! one was an 'a' in circle, other 2 are like stick figures of partilal diamond rings which are not complete and not fancy just like stick figures! ty for any help
