Issue with my ruger single six

I was having a problem with my ruger single six the other day. I was shooting remington 22 shells and every once in a while one of the bullets would not go into the cylinder far enough. It looked like it did but when I would spin the cylinder around while loading it, it would get jammed on the barrel. It happened several times. I usually shoot federals out of it but were given the remingtons as a gift. I figured it was some kind of imperfections in the remington shells.
 
Some 22 rounds are not quite the same size. Try a deep cleaning of the cylinder, too. If that doesn't help, stick with the ammo that fits.
 
Yes, scrub out thar cylinder with Hoppes #9, soak again with #9, let it sit overnight, then scrub it out again. If you shoot shorts or longs in a Lr, (or .38 spl's in a .357 Mag), the powder residue will build up, making it difficult for the longer bullets to get seated properly in the chamber.
 
There are no shells out there with more wax on them than Remingtons. If you want to shoot them (I never do, they're junk), you need to keep the cylinder very clean. When Remington sold them in the bulk cartons I always said they put the shells in the carton and then poured wax in until it was full.
 
I've run into the exacty the same problem during an extended shooting session with my Single Six. If I remember right it might have been with Remington Ammo but I'm not sure. When I went to clean it afterwards I was somewhat startled at he amount of gunk in the cylinder chambers, a good deal more than I was used to. To boil it down, no you're not alone, I've seen it happen, just clean the gun.
