Hi all, just wanted to know a few things about these Enfields.

So....I'm looking at one made in the late 60's not painted but blued in excellent condition. I was wondering what the quality is like compared to those made in the UK during the Great War and after?

Also, what is the price range for one in this condition?

Thanks so much!!!!

Greg

is it in 303 or is in one of the 7.62 NATO models? ishapores are indian and were made for indian forces who were still considered british citizens throughout most of the 20th century. ishapores are generally pretty good from what I've heard but the really desirable ones are the ones that were made in 7.62x51mm because they were made in small lots and where only made for a few years so they are very rare.

I have a ishapore in 7.62x51 they are great guns, mine shoots well and is well made. I cannot find any tooling marks or signs of poor quality in fact I don't see much difference between the ishapore and the british variants I've played around with and fired.

The India made Ishapore Rifles are well made Enfields. Many have been through untold FR's and have multiple coats of Suncorite and may look a little rough.
