Has the latest craze of smaller, lighter gone too far? I’ve looked at the Keltec P-32 and have just bought a Colt Mustang Pocketlite (because my steel version “seemed” too heavy in the front pocket). However, after reading the account here in the General Discussion area about a pawn shop owner getting attacked I have some questions, http://www.thefiringline.com:8080/forums/showthread.php?threadid=39634 . During the attack he was driven away from the Glock on the desk and picked up a .22 that wasn’t loaded and finally remembered the Beretta .25 in his pocket. As I write this, my all steel colt mustang, with 6+1 rounds of Georgia Arms 90gr Gold Dots (FUD advertising strikes again) is in an IWB holster behind my right hip and I can’t even tell it’s there. Now when I’m wearing my Beretta Mini-Cougar 8040F, with 8+1 rounds of Georgia Arms 165gr Gold Dots, it sits comfortably, in a Rosen ARG-Slim, but I never forget it’s there.
So my question is how many of us when faced with a completely unexepected violent encounter would forget that our new lighter than air and smaller than dust wonder gun is in our front pocket? It has made me wonder and I will re-evaluate when the mustang comes instead of the Beretta.
