I'm planning on getting a graduation present for myself sometime after this summer is over, so I need to start planning now. (For me buying a gun is usually a 6 month process where I change my mind hundreds of times while I scrounge up money).
I have been drooling over the Wilson Combat Catalog, looking at the KZ .45. It is the polymer framed 10 shot. There have been a few posts on this gun here, all of the reviews have been positive.
My question is, is it worth it at $1000. Where I could pick up a Springfield for about $600. I've wanted a nice 1911 since the Utah TFL get togehter when I got the try a nice Springfield Armory. The Wilson does come with night sights and an armor tuff finish, so thats worth quite a bit.
Opinions? Should I get the cheaper gun and buy a couple cases of ammo and a nice holster with the savings? Or go all out and get the Wilson?
