Sorry about splattering this forum with my posts lately, but I am intent on finding what my issue is with my gun short-stroking. And I think I may have found it, but without confirmation from other Challenger owners, I can't say for sure that this is a problem.
Please watch this video and give me feedback on that indent, and whether the hammer is supposed to be dragging on the slide. The slide gets harder to pull back after coming in contact with the hammer in the cocked position... then, right where the indent ends, it gets harder again and has to jump over it.
This also happens to be the exact spot where I believe it is malfunctioning, because - listen to this - the indent ends, making it slightly hard to push back the slide, RIGHT before the slide goes back far enough for the ejector to become exposed, possibly explaining my gun's failure to eject.
Is this normal, guys? Is the hammer supposed to be riding on the slide? Is that indent supposed to be there? At this point, only you can help me.
Thanks a lot!
