Is this holster available?

I saw this holster on a pro CCW facebook post. I couldn't find any information about it. Is it a custom made, or modified holster, or are they available somewhere?

It's actually a car mounting component and a semi-generic holster combo from a company called Gumcreek.

Thanks! Yup, did a little more research and found it. The website is a little confusing. It lists the price as $34.99, but when you look the sizes up they all say +$20. So I guess they're $55!

Not a bad deal for $35, I fabbed a custom mount for my car, puts the holster at the base of the driver seat so the gun is right behind my right knee when driving.
This wouldn't be bad either, only thing I think about is accessibility and stay factor, this looks pretty good in both aspects.

Now I see. It's just the mount for 35 bucks. OK.
Does anybody have one? Does it hold the holster secure enough that it doesn't slip around, or move?

I think it's just 34, but if you want to order a holster with it in a combo deal then it's plus 20 for them to send a holster with it.

Only thing I would worry about, if it's supposed to be concealed, this doesn't really conceal it. It's does put it within reach but not conceal.

So, would this hold the gun securely during a serious auto accident? Also, would it cause harm to your legs and lower body during an accident?

My concern is that it's not at all concealed. If someone looked through the window, they would see it. It might not jump right out at them, but they could easily see it. I would love one of these, but I work in probably the shadiest area in town, and probably one of the worst in all of Utah, so having a loaded firearm in the car is a great idea, but I would want it hidden and secured.

Maybe I'll move out to the country and just put a gun rack in the truck. No complaints about having the 870 and 30-30 right behind my head :D

I don't think it's really designed for use/storage while you are away from the vehicle. Use it when driving for comfort while maintaining quick access. It is still mostly concealed so that other drivers or pedestrians cannot easily see it. I like the idea but I don't know if it would interfere with leg room. It might depend on the car/truck.

My concern wouldn't be other driver unless at a stop light. My concern would be cops when getting pulled over and it not being concealed.

That may or may not be a legal problem in a particular state and a concealed carry license may or may not play a part. Everyone needs to know the laws on their own state. On strictly a practical note, I would keep my hands visible and immediately inform the officer about the weapon. I am not legally required to do this but it makes sense to avoid misunderstandings. YMMV.

In Texas it would be a charge of illegal carrying of a weapon. It's not conceiled. Yes you could grab it and hide it before pulling over but if the officer sees it (empty holster) he's prob fixing to search vehicle and something that could be a simple warning or citation could be drug out. Plus if you carry conceiled carry gun beside your right arm in seat. If you need it quick you could reach it faster than reaching under the steering column.

here is what I cooked up at home, the mount is hand made and wrapped by your truly, the holster is made by barsony leather and is removable to fit other rigs.

and finally mount with holster, gun in (Sig P250 used for picture)

It fits un-intrusively behind my right knee when driving and is completely concealed from all view points (only you know it's there)

I tired to preview the post to re-size the pics but all I got were the links, hope they are not humungously large, sorry.

+1

I would be more concerned with how that would hold up on impact. In the case of this contraption, I wouldn't mind a retention strap.

If the holsters could be exchanged, would something like a Wilderness Safepacker work on this mount. It would provide the needed concealibility and security without compromising access.
