Is this hammer ok? Pics

Could this be used without causing problems? It has what appears to be a little chip. Both pics are of the same chip.

possibly, maybe, too many variables to be able to tell from the pics (or even what gun it goes in). Paperweight, unless its the end of the world and all your good ones are broken.
 
It looks as if the sear seat is OK, but it's hard to tell without an overall picture and your telling us what gun it goes in.
 
That hammer is not chipped; the mark is an impact mark that does not appear to harm the hammer. But the hammer has been hitting something, and what it is hitting might be damaged. A look at the Charter diagrams shows no obvious impact or wear point, but I would check the gun carefully; I don't think that mark should be there.
