Is this a good SW idea? Clubs and IPSC

From another list:

Where can I get a list of serial numbers for S&Ws made after their
notorious sellout? Our pistol club is considering banning post-sellout
S&Ws from our monthly IPSC matches, but we don't want to discrininate
against any pistols bought or even in the pipeline before the sellout.

What do you think about doing this? I honestly don't know. I'm loathe to attack
fellow shooters but ...

I'd vote no on this. Freedom of choice includes the freedom to make uninformed and even stupid choices. I don't plan to buy any new S&W handguns myself, but if someone else can do so and live with his conscience, that's his problem. I accept responsibility for all my actions, and expect the same from others. However, I also have the right to share my opinions with others who choose to make uninformed and stupid choices.

Keeping in mind the absolute junk that Slick&Wesson will be required to make in the future as per the sellout agreement, I would invite any and all IPSC and IDPA folks who want to shoot one to go right ahead. I'll make sure you get a good spot at the safe area to fix/replace/repair/cuss at/beat with a hammer your gun between stages ;)
.....oh yea, and a computer interface to plug in your smart-gun so it can be programed not to hit no-shoots

I think it's a bad idea also. Just print up some anti S&W info for a hand out at the sign in for your shoots or have a poster made up and hung in a prominent place and let the peer pressure go to work.
Do you really want to drive shooters from your club and events?
