While I was at Dick's recently, I saw a coach gun in 12 gauge by Stoeger for $300 & a Mossberg Persuader for $279.

Why would a gun with only 2 shots be more expensive than a shotgun in the same gauge with 6 shot's? Is the coach gun too high?

I already plan to be getting a Maverick 88 Security model at the end of this month from my regular shop but I was just curious.
 
It just didn't make sense to me. I checked gunbroker.com & the average coach gun is $350 so I reckon Dick's price is decent. Mods can delete this now. I found out what I needed to know.
 
You will usually always pay more for a coach/side by side shotgun. They are a classic design and generally are a higher quality than the equal pump.
