Yes. That's a pretty reasonable deal if it's a total price of $450.00 for you. Many people who buy a Glock 27 think to themselves "Cool the ultimate carry gun!" then after actually shooting it they decide the 40 cal is a little too snappy in such a small gun and end up changing over to the 26 (9mm). I'd be surprised if the guy has even shot 200 rounds through it, making it essentially a new gun.
A friend of mine owns a gen 3 27, it just sits at his house and never gets shot anymore. When he first got it he let me shoot it. I shot it real well actually, kept some impressive groups at 15 yards. However anything other than slow deliberate shooting was out of the question for me because I would have to readjust my grip with each shot due to the recoil. Yes I could probably have forced myself into a death grip with the gun and kept better control over it from shot to shot, but it was not something I'd be comfortable with for concealed carry when weighed against the 26. 26 is easier and faster to shoot, not as loud, and holds more rounds. I just dont see a reason to go for the 27 unless your just a real big/strong guy and or you just love the 40.
If you've shot one and know it's what you want or just want to take a chance, go for it. It's a good deal. Not great but good. Great would be less than $400.
I have a friend who bought a S&W shield in 40 I told him to consider the 9mm... he bought the 40. After shooting it he came back and told me "You were right."
Don't get me wrong, there are probably a lot of people who can handle a 27 real well.
