Is there such an animal as a PWA post ban lower?

..., for an AR15.

And how do I tell the difference? I thought I read that somewhere that PWA's were all preban. I don't wanna get stuck with a lower I can't use.

There indeed is such a beast, I know, because I own onw. Haven't hot it yet, as it still needs an upper.
As for pre-ban and post-ban lower, it only counts as pre ban if it was a rifle prior to 14 sept. 1994 Pre-ban lowers are still legal to own, its just what you can and can not put on top of the lower.

According to the AR15.com Serial Number List, the PWA preban serial number cut-off is #35,222.

I had a 4-digit preban (6XXX) but sold it a few months ago.

Rock River Arms and Gunsmoke Enterprises both sell post-ban PWA lowers, both stripped and complete. They are of good quality - comparable to Bushmaster, in my opinion. If I ever decide to build up an AR, it'll be with a PWA lower.

I understand that Rock River Arms now has the rights to PWA receivers and that they are beginning to mark the receivers as such.
