Is there such a thing as .32ACP +P ammo?

I'm getting ready to do some penetration tests with my little P-32. So far, I've got Speer Gold Dots, Winchester Silver Tips, Cor-Bon HPs, Federal Hydra-Shoks, Fiocchi HPs, and Hornady XTPs.

One thing I noticed in my P-32 manual is that the little spitwad will handle +P ammo, just not regularly. The only prob is that I've never seen any for sale or listed in any catalogs.

Does any company make any kind of +P 32ACP ammo?

thanks!

By that logic, will a steady diet of fiochi ammo do any harm to MY new P-32? Cause that's what I intend on feeding it...

(Crap - anyone wanna buy a case of fiochi .32 ACP? :))

Maxinquaye,

I've fed my P-32 a LOT of Fiocchi 73gr. FMJ. Lots of fellas here do, so I'm not too worried about it. The P-32 is a pretty sturdy little gun.

The Cor-Bon 60gr HP, the Fiocchi 60gr HP, the Fiocchi 73gr. FMJ, and the Sellier and Bellot 73gr. FMJ are the hottest standard rounds you can get in 32ACP, with the Cor-Bon being the hottest HP and the S&B being the hottest FMJ. Check out www.geocities.com/goldenloki and you'll find lots of ammo info concerning the P-32. The guy running the site has built a HOT wildcat 32 Defender round and rechambered his P-32 for it, so I'm not worried at all about using standard pressure 32ACP rounds in my little Elephant Gun.

What I'm wondering is do any ammo companies actually make a 32ACP round loaded to +P specs?

It is my understanding that SAAMI actually has very few +P designations. I think that 9mm, 45acp, and 38 Special are the only three handgun calibers that are actually given a +P stamp. I hope others out there will correct me if I am wrong. I would really like to know if there are actually others so designated. Other than the three calibers mentioned above, the plethora of +P designations for other calibers did not come about until the advent of Cor Bon. By implication, I believe they load to higher chamber pressures than most manufacturers and sometimes mention "+P pressures", even though SAAMI hasn't officially said that 32 or 44 spec. or whatever can carry such labeling.

Just my $0.02 worth.
