Well I stopped by the gun store today to put a P229 two tone on layaway and everything feels real tight and nice on the gun except there was one thing I noticed. The pin on the P229's milled slide was sticking out on one side further than the other. Its hard to describe but it pretruded about 2 index cards thick on one side and was sunk in that much on the other side. Now the reason I ask is if the pin can be sticking out one side more than the other couldnt that have an effect like the roll pins used in the stamped slides were it could possibly walk on you?
