is there any way to "refurbish" Ram-Line 10-22 mags?

I have bought two of these at gun shows for pretty much nothing - I have a 30 rounder and a 50 rounder. The problem is, they both seem to be too sticky to work well. It doesn't look like there is any way to take them apart to clean them, either. Do you gouys know of any way to clean them up and make them work well again?

THANKS!

A friend and I bought (2 each) Ramlines long ago to test out with other hi-cap mags. The Ramlines worked OK for 2 or 4 magfulls when new. After that, it was down hill in a steep angle. Numerous FTFs. As I recall, the seams are adhesive bonded or heat/sonically welded or somehow permanently attached. This means they cannot be taken apart without destroying the mag.

I go with Butler Creeks.

The only way I can think to clean these magazines it to use some kind of liquid cleaner.

One hint, don't use brake cleaner. The plastic used in these magazines is not the type that will resist solvents. I destroyed one of mine this way. :(

If something like Gun Scrubber doesn't do it, you're probably SOL. RamLine magazines aren't exactly the best quality, especially those flimsy plastic ones for the 10-22. I have a number of Butler Creek 25 round ones for my 10-22's, they've worked very well.

Soapy Water works well. Make darn sure that you get all of the water out especially from the flat spring as this will rust. It's best, for drying this part, to used compressed air and then load the magazine full. This will lengthen the spring completely and allow it to dry.

Birchwood Casey Gun Scrubber destroyed one of my Ram-Line mags one time before, so I'm looking for another way to clean them. There's a gun show this weekend, so I may look for some Butler Creek mags.

Sprayable Rem-Oil ate my fax machine, wasen't even a direct hit, was overspray.

Sam...if you can make it, I can break it.

Cleaning these mags can be a pain. I had to drill a couple of holes in the bottom of my 50 rounder, so that i could flush it out with hoppes degreaser. This worked pretty well. Then used some teflon dry lube stuff to lube the mag.
