Is there an AK version rifle in a .223 caliber?

It may be a simple questions, but I would be interested in knowing if something like this exist. If so, what is the general cost?

I figured it would be a great blasting item to use with all the Wolf ammo. I have a Mini-14 but have heard that it is best not to use Wolf. I use other brands instead. I figured if the AK is cheap enough I don't have to worry since the Wolf would be more geared towards this.

Any input or feedback on an AK in .223 caliber?

makes a rifle in .223 (.308 also). You won't find a better AK type rifle, but LOL in finding one.

yes
there is the com block caliber of 5.54x59 and the ak in .223 (5.56 nato) IIRC they are designated as the sar-2 and sar-3. post-ban ak's that have the correct amount of us mfg parts to allow the use of conventional pistol grip and buttstock, vs a thumbhole stock.

SAR -3 would be a tough inexpensine .223ak.However,be advised that it can be very difficult to find hi-cap magazines for an AK in.223.I chose the SAR-2 in 5.45x39 for this very reason,as you can get 30 rounders for them no sweat.Check out

There were LOTS and LOTS of Norinco AKs in .223 that were imported in the late '80s. They used to run about $180.00 at gunshows. Lots of happy memories of shooting in the quarries around Bloomington, Indiana.

Can't remember exactly but i think i paid about 800 for one of those chinese 223 norincos that used to be 180. it's funny what people will do and pay just to get a rifle with a threaded muzzle. I got 8 or 9 mags and stopped at that--i think mags that will fit the chinese guns are harder to find .....Dick
