Is there a poly single stack 1911?

I was wondering if there was a poly 1911. I have seen one that I thought was poly, it did a taper mag instead of double stack all the way up. But I really was more interested in a single stack all the way. Anybody seen one?

The Wilson Combat KZ-45 is the only polymer framed 1911 (that i know of at least) that is actually thinner than a standard 1911. it still does have at least a mildly double-stack 10rd mag but because it doesn't have separate grips and the polymer is thinner than metal the grip can still be made that narrow. I've never shot one, just held one and wasn't overly impressed. the grip felt fairly blocky and not as comfortable as a standard 1911's grip.

Wilson KZ is the only poly single stack designed expressly to hold 10 rounds, thus it's thinness. Other ones available typically are "hi-caps" with plugged magazines to decrease capacity down to 10-rounds.

Just about every manufacturer has their flavor of polymer frame nowadays, but if you like the feel of the Wilson KZ, it's about as good as you can get.

I'm amazed that you dindn't get struck by lightning by mentioning "polymer" and "1911" in the same sentence. ;)

like most other polymer 1911s the Kimbers are designed for hi-cap mags so the grip won't be any thinner than a regular 1911.
