#Is the SIG Sauer P226 Sport pistol more accurate than a regular P226?

i dont have a p226 but i do have a p229 and a p229 sport and yes there is a difference in the recoil.the accuracy is better in the sport as well .the target sights are what make the difference, they are tight not much gap when you put them on a target.the sport is all steel in the p229 sport dont know about the p226 sport.

I don't know about the accuracy, but the Sport series guns are better fitted than the standard guns, they are fitted with better sights, and with the front sight on the comp, the longer sight radius might make it seem more accurate. It will less using the same load when compared to the standard because: 1. the gun is all steel and the added weight will dampen recoil, 2. the longer barrel and comp puts more weight out front to keep the muzzle down, and 3. the comp itself, though not known to be particularly effective in a 9mm, would have at least some effect.
