Is the CZ 75 TS still 'in the game'

I'm about to pull the trigger on a CZ. I'm debating the CZ 75 SP 01 Shadow stock, Shadowline, or even the 2. But my (other) eye has been ogling the CZ 75 TS.

This would be primarily a range gun and, some time in the future, for dynamic shooting with amateur competition in mind.

Price-wise, considering the stock shadow as 100%, in my area of the world (Eastern Europe), they stack up as:

CZ 75 SP 01 Shadow - 100%
CZ 75 SP 01 Shadowline - 125%
CZ Shadow 2 - 160%
CZ 75 TS - 142%

The TS is nice, and heavy,...but weighs in at only 3.1 oz more than Shadow 1, and Shadow 2 is actually 2.1 oz heavier.
Barrel length is longest on the TS, if only a tiny bit.
Sights are fixed on all except the 2 having adjustable height.
Trigger pull seems to be lightest on the TS.

I've always enjoyed the idea of DA/SA, but I can roll with SAO.

I'm not opposed to successively upgrading the 'more' stock versions.

Orange versions are off limits due to financial restri...constrictions.

I'm set on a CZ as I have a dealer/distributor/service in my hometown...and I like the guns, they're all beautiful.

Any of them would be good. SIZE may be the only issue (other than price.) The guns from the Custom Shop are generally well-tuned, and the TS is tuned at the factory.

Mags will be easier to find with the 75B-based models; the Tactical Sport has a larger frame and uses different mags, and they're generally pretty pricey (with no after-market alternatives available.)

The Tactical Sport, if I remember correctly, doesn't fit in the IDPA "Box" -- too large -- and if IDPA is a potential part of your competition plans, you may want to check size limits.

I'd love to have a TS, and may eventually get there, some day.

I have difficulty understanding the different CZ models. With that being said, I have a CZ75 TS and a CZ75 SP-01 Shadow Target ll; both of which I've fired in the past two weeks.

First, the TS: It's heavy, large and extremely accurate. I put adjustable sights on mine, but it was a waste of money. The fixed sights were perfect at my shooting distances of 7 and 10 yards. The adjustable sights will be handy for longer distances; say, out past 15 yards. The TS cost a couple of hundred dollars less than the Target.

The Target: It's lighter, smaller and I don't shoot it was good as I do the TS. It fits my hands better and the trigger seems smoother and lighter.

If I could have compared the two side-by-side, at a range; I'd have been hard pressed to decide which to buy. The Target now has less than half the number of rounds thru it than the TS. When considering which goes to the range, I usually select the TS. But, I really love the feel of the Target better.

I have not shot a TS, but i have a 75 B SA 9mm that is quite accurate and a 75 B 40 S&W that is even more accurate. For ipsc or similar, both deliver fine accuracy. I would expect the ts to be more accurate, even if only due to the sights. I wonder if it has a tighter bushing or lock up??
