Guys is the Arcus-94( Bulgarian Browning clone)any good? I have seen a few advertise for about $200.00 in the Shotgun News. If they are any good do the Hi power magazines fit them?

Many thanks for any responses.

Blechh and the same to the Israeli copies that are lurking out there. Forgot what those abominations were called.

I just read an article in one of the gun rags (I think it was Combat Handguns), that gave a good review of the Arcus-94. I believe the Arcus will accept HP mags. Check the archives on this link, there was some discussion on this gun not too long ago.Rod Black

The Browning Hi-Power clone got good reviews from the gun mags but I think I remember them recommending a good trigger job to smooth out the action. But that is common practice on any Hi-Power anyway. Good value for the money.

As someone else pointed out the last time this came up not long ago... :)

It is already an "orphan" as Miltex USA is out of biz?

Good gun, all but one part will swap and work, but it does not fit all HP holsters.

The Isreali made HPs were called the Kareen IIRC? IAI does not show them on their web page anymore.

I have been very pleased with my Arcus-94. I can honestly say even with the dull finish its the best "clone" I have ever fired.. So far I have fired about 3000 rounds through mine and have not had a failure.

Guys I just purchase an Argentinian FN not the popular FM and this gun shoot better than a P228 I had. It even outshoot a pre 1974 ( internal extractor ) Belgium made Hi Power I used to have. I like the Arcus but do not like the shape of the trgger guard.

To the person that actually has an Arcus, which finish did you pick the blue or two-tone? Describe a little better... I'm interested in either a FEG Hi-Power clone or the Arcus. Have heard that they don't want you to fire +p in the Arcus is that true of the FEGs as well?

Who did you order your Arcus through. Have seen ads for CDNN but no others.

Ariel 1, I have an Arcus. Great gun for the money. Acurate, very tight slide to frame fit. Highpower mags fit, also the grips fit along with alot of the internal parts (barrel, hammer and sear etc.)I have the two tone one. The slide is matte black the frame looks like a hard chrome. It also does not have an ambi-safety like in the gun mags. I bought my through CDNN. The 17 round mags (more like 16) it comes work exellent, well worth the $25 for an extra one. I had FM highpower prior to this and the arcus seems like a much better gun.

My Arcus94 is also the two-tone, but mine does have the ambi safety. It is also a very good shooter. Rod Black

Makarov,
I reccomend the FEG Hi-Power copy.Reliable,
classic looks, good quality, takes any mag-
azine meant for the 9mm Hi-Power. Great gat
for the green.

I have two MKIII BHPs 9mm and 40 S&W, a FM, A FEG, and an Arcus 94. I prefer the BHPs for fit, finish, quality, and accuracy. Next, I will go with my FM. It has Novak sights, a C&S safety, and Eagle grips. Now to the clones. I prefer the looks of the FEG but my gunsmith tells me the metal is inferior to the Arcus 94. The sights are better on the FEG. All of my High-Powers have had trigger jobs and I am not ashamed to be seen with any of them. Regards, Richard.
