Is the ammo?

I recently switched to Federal .45 230gr bullets after running out of S&B. With the S&B I was getting pretty decent hits on the silouhette targets at 25 yrds. When I switched to Federal I had some failure to return to battery with one of my .45s and some extremely horrible showings at the range. sometimes completely missing the target. Now I know that I am not that great at pistols. But do you think that the sudden drop in accuracy and some FTFs are from the ammo.

It didn't really hit me that it could have been the ammo. I just assumed it was me. Then an accuantence told me the he thinks Federal sucks. Then it hit me. I was getting bullseyes and headshots with the S&B. Then with the federal lots of hitting way off target. When I rested the firearm almost totally on a rest the groups werent bad though with the Federal.

Any thoughts on this?

Go back to S&B and see what happens.

If you start shooting back at your old level again, you'll know that the new ammo was likely the cause of your problem.

S&B is good ammo.
It shoots well for me.
I bet that when you switch back your shot placement will improve.

P.S. The ammo shoots well I don't:p

...pretty easy fix eh?

S&B runs and hits target...Federal won't run and won't hit target...

Hmmm...On the other hand...send that pistol to me for testing. I guarantee that I'll have it broken in and will return it in 3-4years with my suggestions and all you owe me for is postage
