Is the 1100 G3 the Death Knell of the 11-87?

I think I'll stick to my 1100. Never liked the feel of the 11-87 so I won't miss it if it goes. And while the new gun looks promising, I don't think much of fake "Realwood™ Semi-Fancy carbon fiber laminate stock featuring high gloss finish".

Oh well, maybe they'll put wood stocks on a couple of them for us untactical, stuck in the 20th Century types.

The g3 gun has a wood stock. They just have a two piece stock joined together in the middle. Kind of like a two piece stock.
 
I guess I just don't understand why if it's really walnut they would say it's "Semi-Fancy carbon fiber laminate stock" and hang a name like Realwood on it. If it's wood just say so. I shy away from anything that reminds of bogus phrases like fresh-frozen.

Well, now that I know it's really walnut & carbon fiber plywood of some sort I'll have to wait and see what it looks like.

I have a Realwood(TM) stock for my 03A3. It is real, but it isn't wood. How much will one of these go for and why shouldn't I buy a Benelli instead?
