Is New York like Kalifornia?

I’m considering purchasing a Glock G19 with some pre-ban High capacity magazines. Are pre-ban magazines now outlawed in NY?

No problem in NY state. Buy as many as you like.

...now, while you still can! A bill is awaiting the Governor's signature that may make it all rather obnoxious...and we're not sure why he hasn't signed it, and are glad he hasn't.

Be aware that some cities have limits. Rochester has a 17-round limit for pistols (and 5 rounds for rifles, go figure). All bets are off for NY City.
 
17 round limit? In the mag or total? If it's total, that sounds like something aimed specifically at the evil G17.
