Is my brand new USP messed up?

I just bought a brand new HK USP in .40. Its the nicest gun I think I have ever owned. I test fired it with 20 rounds today, and noticed several marks on the ejection port, on the back where its angled. Most likely these are brass strikes. Is this a problem?

It has very positive ejection, my Father-in-law was able to catch the casings about 4 feet back from me at a 45 degree angle. Thanks!

Sounds ok. My .45C leave a small blemish on the case mouths from bumping somewhere when the cases eject.

Same blemish, every time. Brass lands in roughly the same spot, every time. Pistol extracts and feeds perfectly, every time. If it's a problem, at least it's a darned consistent problem. :)

Thanks for putting me at ease guys. The pistol is simply outstanding! It seems to be very user friendly and ergonomic. I think I finally found the perfect pistol for me. Thanks again for your help.
