I have a 16# recoil spring that fits perfectly on my Ruger P94. Would it be ok to to give it a try and fire it. I think the P94 would benefit from a 16# spring but nobody makes one for it.

Rob, it's not going to damage anything to try it. Changing the recoil spring weight can cause functioning problems but you won't know until you try. George

Thank you George. I will definetly run rounds thru it to ensure reliability. Had it out today with the standard spring and brass landed 10 to 12 feet away from me. Also with the 11# spring the slide seems to cycle slower than other pistols I have shot with 16 and 17# springs.
