is it legal to ship 30/30 brass cases only

Hi Guys,

is it legal to ship empty brass cases from the states to england in 30/30 cal.

I know 410 cal and 12 gauge brass is legal.

I realy need your help, have spent a lot of time looking on the net, but still do not have the answer.

cheers chris

edit: The following only applies to America, not England where to OP is from. (silly me didn't read the whole post).

Brass is legal. You can buy it online from many places.

Primers and powder are no-go unless you want to deal with a Haz-Mat fee.

Bullets (just the bullets) are fine.

It should be ok, Chris, but the people you need to talk to aren't the ones here. Check with the people you are thinking of ordering from, they should know.

Also, Brit customs / those enforcing import laws would be the final say in the matter. Companies doing business worldwide usually know the laws of nations they ship to, but they might not, or might not ship to a certain nation due to the laws.

There are some US companies who will not ship products to certain of our states, even though the products are legal there, because the effort and expanse of keeping up with the laws isn't worth the business they do.

IF 12 ga and .410 brass is ok, then .30-30 should be, BUT guncontrol and import laws do not have to make sense. Check with your local govt, and then find a dealer/distributor willing to do business in your part of the world.

Sorry, but that's the way it is. Good Luck.
