Is Congress compromised?

Ever since the impeachment of Clinton, I have view members of congress behaving as if the have something to hide. During impeachment or shortly afterwards skeletons came out of the closets of Gingrich, Livingstone, Burton, and Hyde. Now we see Senators such as Hatch appear to be supporting proposed provisions of law which are unconstitutional unders the best of circumstances. I am not an afficiondo of conspiracy theories, but it sure seems that some opponents of Clinton are acting like they have something to hide that someone else knows about.

This morning I read an interesting investigative article that shed a fair amount of light on the situation. It is fairly long so I'll not copy it but it does clear up interesting public events.

It also makes clear that once Clinton is gone the corruption will only continue.

My two cents. If congress isn't compromised then a good portion of its members must be plain dumb. I would rule out neither or both.
 
With about 30% (?) of congress belonging to the Progressive Caucus, of course the Congress is compromised! We've got a pack of commies and their fellow travellers making the laws.

That is a long aritcle but I think it is worth reading all the way through. Good background and good current information. The last bit of it is the scariest.
