Last week I heard something on the radio that made my eyes pop out. I have not heard anything further.
Mike Barnicle, on WTKK in Boston, was coming into the studio. As he greeted the outgoing talk host (Jay Severin), Barnicle mentioned that he had been listening to the word for word relay of Clinton speaking to Russian reporters. According to Barnicle, Clinton had been asked what he had done in his life besides politics. Barnicle then reported that, among other things, Clinton said he had "cleared land and built houses" (huh?) and also "had been taught to fly an airplane by his wife, Hillary," and that he had landed an airplane himself.
Now, boys and girls, this is an epiphany. I did not realize that Hillary is a CFI (certificated flight instructor), as one must be to give flying lessons. Nor did I know that Mr. Clinton was a pilot.
I have heard nothing further about this -- typical media coverup of anything wierd this administration says. Can you just imagine what we would have heard from the Boston Globe or NY Times if Newt Gingrich had claimed that his wife taught him to fly?
The whole thing leaves me wondering ever more seriously if Clinton is sane.
