Is chrome original on this Astra Constable?

The Constable was made with a chrome finish and that appears to be original. But the current bid is close to the top value, IMHO. The trigger pin has drifted out; that is no big deal, but would have to be corrected by a new owner.

Chrome ? YES . Original / NO [unless their original polish is terrible ]
Take a close look at the polishing on the side of the slide and look how the letters have been smeared .

Looks original to me.
I see none of the usual hints (or glaring giveaways) of a refinish.

They aren't 'smeared' or 'dished' from a refinish. That's just from heavy stamping and the light factory polish.

...Which wasn't very good, judging from the tool marks coming through the finish.

Astras were sold chromed, and that looks to be about average quality for one of their chrome jobs, which were sort of mediocre.

Spanish pistols were rarely nickled and mostly chromed with varying degrees of success as far as longivity is concerned.
