Is anyone using a Rem. 11-87

After growing up shooting an 1100, I have to have an 11-87 in the safe. I have a 12ga SPS Super Mag for backup duties for my Browning, although I occasionally use it for a change. Also in the safe is an 11-87 20ga Premier, for smaller game. They take some major abuse and come back for more. My buddy has one that he has used for at least 15 years, it has even been cleaned a few times. Still as reliable as the day it was bought.

tactical 11-87

bought a "hunting" 11-87 and turned it into a tactical 11-87 and while some will frown on semi-s for tactical use, if you keep the weapon maintained properly, and feed it the proper ammo, it will serve you well in the field and in home

I love the 1100s. My dad had an 1100 that he bought in the mid 60's which I grew up shooting. I have it now, and it's never failed. I have since bought a left-handed version of 11-87, and the same goes for it. I won't shoot anything else. I hunt with and shoot against a lot of guys with high-dollar shotguns, and frankly I don't see the point.

Thank's for all the input

I have placed the 11-87 on order,:) I sold my Rem.870 a while back and have worried about being undergunned since.;) I will now sleep much better as soon as the 11-87 is close to me.:) again thank's for taking the time to give me your inputs.

You won't be undergunned - just make sure you spend enough time practicing with your new boom stick to be truely proficient. Learn how it works and take care of it - and it will take care of you.
