is anyone else going crazy trying to find what they want?

I recently got a job that allowed me to be fiscally irresponsible. since then I've bought a semi-pistol PX4, a colt ar-15, a benelli m4, a CX4 9mm carbine, and a 9mm revolver Taurus 905.

all of the guns ive bought since this january (new president) haven't been exactly easy to find. The px4 took me about 2 weeks of calling around. the ar-15 i spent one day driving around to all the gun shops, and i found what i wanted, but later on i found out i overpaid close to $500 for that model. :(

the benelli i spent a month or 2 searching the internet for a good price on a new one, and the cx4 almost 3-4 months camping Buds. the taurus 905, i saw it once, decided to pass on it, it went out of stock, then i wanted it, and it didnt come back in stock for 2 months.

Now I want a CZ rami BD with the barrel decocker, or a sub compact PX4, and of course those guns are not in stock anywere i would buy them from.

Does anyone else have this problem? Wanting guns that are not readily available/constantly out of stock?

and, does anyone know where i can get a CZ rami 2075 BD? not the regular one, they have one at buds, but the full alloy frame and the decocker.

oh, and that bersa 9mm ive been eyeing for a while but never picked up just went out of stock at buds :(

Relax-slow down and let the guns come to you.

All you have to do is not set a -must buy- time for your next handguns and they will come around so fast you will be surprised.

Just make sure you continue your weekly drives to your local gun stores and pawn shops.

Used guns are turned in everyday and new guns get recieved every week.

I went through a six month period just recently where I could have spent about five thousand dollars on various handguns I wanted but never saw at the prices they were at.

Unfortunately, the five grand was not there to buy them but you get the point.

And the internet is always coming up with new great deals.

Check out GunsAmerica and GunBroker.com.

Those guns you want will show-just be ready to buy them if they are great deals.

Two weeks calling around? Sorry, but allow me to giggle a bit... ;)

My best friend has been calling around for 10 MONTHS trying to get a Thomson Center Contender G2 with .30-30 barrel.

2 weeks for a 9mm px4, which is a regular production gun, nothing special about it. theyre as common as glocks/XD/M&P and theyre poly guns, which, while i love them, arent exactly hand made fit and finished 1911 or even revolvers.

I have spent the past 40 years looking for guns I want

And haven't found them all yet!

2 weeks? pffaaahh!!!:D

You want a particular gun that is currently in production? Order it from the maker. It will be delivered to your FFL when the maker gets around to it. You want something out of production? Look around, and when you find it, you buy it. It takes as long as it takes.

Patience is not just a virtue, it is a necessity.

ive not found it hard to find anything i want, just unhappy about prices, i mean look at my local gun store ad. http://vanceoutdoors.com/flyer/flyer.pdf and thats not their whole selection. if they dont got it theres another major gun store 10miles away that will have anything you'd want.you might want to try gunlistings.org but be careful.

Part of the fun of it is the hunt and getting a good deal. I have been looking for certain guns for several years and I have passed on some that I found just because the price wasn't fair. Patience has often payed off.

I haven't had any problems finding production guns in stock but I shop in the discount department (under $700) usually for handguns. Rifles the most I have spent is $750 for the bare firearm.

Triggertreat,

I think the Vance's ad has good prices. Sure the AR style guns are still high but everything else is in line.

lol venom, actually i lucked out. im sitting on 1k .223, 1.6k .40s&w, and 2.3k 9mm, all purchased at or below market price($12 for 50 9mm, $12-15 for 50 for .40, and $5.50-6.50 for 20 for .223.) So I'm sitting pretty on my cache! I got semi lucky with ammo.

Whenever I've really made up my mind I want a particular model, if I can't find it I just get it ordered in, or post a WTB ad on a few forums. I've never had to wait more then a couple or so weeks (even with the reported lack of supply this past year), and I get exactly what I want. Even if I did have to wait some months or so, if it was something I truly wanted, I'd put up with that rather then run around in a tizzy hoping to catch it in stock somewhere.

Life's too short to get your panties in a bunch over stuff like this :)

its ok, its not like i'm DYING. but also, i ask if my local shops will order one, and they say dont bother. that its all crazy, etc etc.

yeah, I have been trying to find a mateba pistol for a good long while.
I'll have the money stuck aside, can't find one and then something will come up (car repairs, house repaires, etc) I'll spend my fund and then all of the sudden one will turn up when I'm broke.
I want the .44 but really I only want the gun because its so darned weird, so If I can ever get one at all (a pistol not a carbine) I'll snap it up no matter what caliber.
