Is AARP Anti-gun?

I heard a rumor that AARP has been supporting some of the anti-gun groups.
Can anyone verify that?
I don't want to join if it's true.

Bottom Gun, Welcome!

I share your sentiments. I've come across several references from both GOA and NRA that attribute anti-gun activity to AARP. This is why I've not joined that organization, and never will. By the way, I don't own a Gateway computer for the same reason...

Years ago, I told AARP to take me off their mailing list because of its position on gun control. I don' remember the specific issue, but it was very clear at the time. I doubt that AARP's position has changed.

Doc,

Same here. Those darn inner leg seams always rubbed a hole in my hide when in the saddle more than an hour or two. Now I only wear Wranglers when I plop my buns back against the high cantle.

Wranglers fit better, last longer, and cost less. AARP is still anti gun and my grandfather has dropped of there list for that reason.
