Is a Glock 30 same size as 27

I am looking to get a 30 but only had a 27 to touch and hold at dealer. Are they the same size or is the 30 a little bigger. When I held the 27 my pinky had no where to go. Shooting a 45 with just 2 fingers on grip = little control.

The 30 is approximately the same size as the 19/23 but a little chubbier and a little shorter in height. It's significantly bigger than the 27 in all dimensions. With the 10 round mag in place, you can get all fingers on the weapon.

I've fired the 30 without the mag in place to simulate the 9 round mag (which doesn't have the extended floorplate). It's surprisingly controllable but I do NOT recommend this practice. Without the mag, the empty case falls down the magwell into the palm of your hand. I don't know why this occurs but it did the two times I tried it. Ouch.

I have a G26 and G30. It's slightly thicker and slightly longer. Shorter than a G19 but same height. Conceals well.

The Big Dawg has a huge following in the Glockster groups. But the G26/27 are real popular for carry.

If you are going to carry and train with it, the G30 is real sweet. You can get a 9 round mag that makes the G30 shorter than a G19 and really makes the Dawg disappear. I carry my G30 with the 9 round mags as a practice.

Get them both!
