Our pro-gun friends on the internet need help against new rules proposed by the IRS. The IRS has not backed off, even with recent pro-gun presure, so we are renewing the call. News at the "cat and mouse" icon at:

That's what happens when you sign up for tax exempt status from the gov't. Better to just avoid all that mess.

You have a good point there Eric M. The NCRF is not listed as tax exempt to avoid these problems. However, the McCain Finance Reform bill will use this IRS regulation to "bootstrap" its way into restricting groups that are non-tax exempt. This means that even if you do not accept any of the advantages of tax-exempt status, such groups would also be restricted in communicating information, news, or voters guides of a political nature during the election season. This is nothing more than censorship and communism rolled into one. If this regulation is allowed to stand, McCain will expand it to all who wish to voice opinions against anti-gun politicians. Later.
