Iron Sights

Hello, all.

Has any one had experience using Heinie Slant Pro nights? These are the two dot type giving an "8" sight picture.

I was thinking of installing a set on my Browning Hi power.

Thanks.

I'm a big fan of straight 8 type sights, though I usually use Ameriglo iDot Pros.

I had a set of Straight Eights on a Glock 26 years ago. I liked them in daylight because they gave me the clean sight picture of black target sights. I never used them in dark/low light conditions to fire rounds, but looking at them in a dark basement the stack the dots sight picture is easier than a conventional 3-dot sight set, for my eyes.

I'll also throw in a plug for trying a dot front/plain rear sight set. This is what my Glock 19 currently wears. Again, I find it cleaner in daylight and presenting the pistol in a darkened room, the single dot isn't as confusing to my brain. If you're concerned about lining the front sight up way off left, right or high, in trying it FOR ME, the grip and presentation definitely feels wrong if it's that far out of alignment.
