iron sight upgrade, modern rifle

the current crop of scout rifles, ruger my friends, have decent looking sights of the ww2 1903 rifle style. My question is, how hard would it be to attach them to a different rifle,

Looking at the pics, they are made to attach to the integral base on the receiver for Ruger rings. Probably can be done, won't be cheap.
 
You can buy peep sights from Williams or Lyman for your specific rifle. May require drill & tap to install.
