I thought this would come under the heading of general political comment. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4960478.stm

Iran has been bombing the Kurds again. My 2 cents worth is that if the UN were worth its rent money it would support the formation of a free Kurdish state which took parts of Turkey, Iraq, Syria and Iran. Not likely to happen as the Kurds don't have the cash to pay off big political bribes.

You talk about a bunch of folks who just cannot catch a break. Lord, leave the friggen kurds be. What did these folks do to everybody else in the region.

Let me see if I got this right - Iranians targeted the PKK, a Kurdish group that has waged a 15-year insurgency against Turkey. Huh?

If the UN were all about human rights and suffering, they would have done something about Darfur a decade ago instead of waiting until public pressure makes them do something. Which will probably be never.
And they would have done something about monitoring migratory birds in Africa, since even a college student studying birds can tell you migratory patterns. Its not like those countries have enough medical resources in the best of times for people. But hey, its only a hugely hyped disease.

"UN worth it's rent money?" Now THERE"S a joke. USA out of the UN and UN out of the USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
