Iowa TFL Meeting

All TFL members from surrounding states or anywhere else are welcome, of course.

How about Saturday and/or Sunday, 1-2 April, at the Line of Fire indoor range north of Des Moines? They have a 9 point, 25 yard handgun range. The 50 yard rifle range may be open by then.

Send me an e-mail if you are interested. I'll get a map and a copy of the range rules ready to mail out.

From Marshalltown, travel SW on the diagonal to I-80, then W on I-80 to US 69 (E 14TH ST), then N to NE 70TH AVE (look for a Casey's at the junction), then E on NE 70TH AVE to the range.

You guys are making me home sick. I am originally from Davenport and I have transplanted to Georgia. I like it down here but Iowa will always be home. Is that communist Maggie Tinsman still causing trouble up there in Scott County?
 
I'd like to try it if I can. I'm not sure I can make it on such short notice and the schedule for April won't be made until this Sunday.
I'll certainly try and I'll bring along my trusty .22 if I can get there. Unfortunately that's all I have to bring until the Glock arrives. Sounds like fun though. I'll contact another TFLer, a lurker, and see if he wants to come along for the fun, but it'd be 200 miles for either of us according to Yahoo.
 
Another good reason to be in town is the Fairgrounds gun show that weekend. I always find something to spend money on at that show.

That's right, there is the Gun Show at the 4H grounds then too. ought to be a good get-together.

I'll try to make it for a while on Saturday, On Sunday there is a CIPS (Central Iowa Pracctical Shooters) Match at the Winterset Range. I know you would all be welcome. I have no Idea what the course COF will be. Don, You can use one of My .45s if you wish.
 
Is this still on? Is it Saturday or Sunday, and what time? To be honest I thought I was too broke but someone was generous for my birthday and I can probably come at least for awhile on Sunday. Maybe I'll rent a Glock and pretend I own one . . . .

Darn... I just saw this post.

Wish I'd seen it sooner. I've already made fishing plans for this weekend or I would have driven over. I think Ankeny is only about 120 miles east.

Oh well... Have fun folks!!!
