Quick question most likely not in the right forums but o well I was looking for a pistol that took the 10/22 mags and I found this little pistol I have some one in my local area that's selling one with one mag a flashlight and red dot sight for 450 hears what I want to know.

Is it worth it ?
What is the reliability of this pistol ?
This is my first hand gun is it a nice one to start with ?
What are the positives and negatives of this pistol?

$450 is high. $300 is more in line. I had one years ago, and it wasnt very reliable. It would fail to load, and fail to eject.

For a first handgun? I say NO. If you are looking for a 22 pistol, for $300-350, you can get a Ruger Mark III or 22/45, or a Browning Buckmark. For around $250-300, a Beretta Neos. Any of these three are so much better than the Intratec. If you are looking for more of a plinker, the Ruger SR22P, S&W M&P Compact 22 or the Walther PPQ-22 would be better than the Intratec

They're simple as a brick and can be reliable with well fitting magazines.
Fun to shoot and if you want it, why not. But $450 is pricey.

I have a Cohort, and its an excellent pistol. Its not small, or light, but can be fired with one hand, and with the GSG 110 round drum magazine for the Ruger 10/22, is a hoot.
