I had one of the Protec25s
I used to enjoy collecting little .25s. This was a nice example.
Basically, it's an American-made copy of the CZ-45 (at least, I think that was the model - don't have my reference books with me). My Protec 25 worked flawlessly. It's a good design (those Czechs do a nice job). It's pretty heavy though, but very flat.
It was DAO, 8 in the mag, one up the spout. (But I stopped carrying it hot when I noticed there was a firing pin mark on the primer of the round that lived in the chamber.) The double action pull was heavy but smooth.
