Artistic freedom maybe? The website calls it a 625 Magnum. It's a video game weapon selection...I think. I'm not a gamer - I just ran acrosss searching for a 625.
Wow...tough crowd. In spite of the "goofy" revolver, I'll still give the artist a thumbs up for the art work. What do you expect from a guy/gal who's probably never seen or held the real deal.
I think the grips are trying to emmulate Pachmayr's.
No rear-sight tenon along the topstrap.
No checkering on the hammer spur.
No hammer-NOSE on the hammer.
No firing-pin hole in the breechface.
No front locking bolt for the ejector rod.
Porting on the end of the ejector rod?
The most glaring of all? Sideplate on the LEFT side of the gun.
OTOH, perhaps he's right, and the artist never has seen the real deal.
